Choose when mail is marked read
Mail you open is marked read right away, after 5 to 20 seconds, or only when you mark it yourself.
In Settings under Appearance, choose When I open it, After 5, 10, 15 or 20 seconds, or Only when I mark it. With a few seconds, mail you move on from sooner stays unread. The U key now switches between read and unread.
