Terms
Terms of use
The terms for using SiteBirdy: webmail, calendar, contacts, notes and to-dos. Last updated 18 October 2026.
About these terms
SiteBirdy is a service of Site B.V. (Site.eu), Operetteweg 7, 1323 VJ Almere, Netherlands, KvK 53309847 (“we”). By using SiteBirdy you agree to these terms. Site’s general terms and conditions apply to SiteBirdy too; these terms add what is specific to SiteBirdy, and where the two differ, these terms apply to SiteBirdy. How we handle your data is in our privacy policy.
We may change these terms. We announce changes that matter at least 30 days before they apply, in SiteBirdy or by email. If you don’t agree, you can stop using SiteBirdy and delete your account.
Your account
- Give a correct name and an email address you can use; we send codes and notices there.
- Keep your password to yourself. We recommend turning on two-step verification (Settings → Account).
- An account is for one person. A team owner or admin who adds people (such as people with a shared mailbox) is responsible for those accounts and what they reach.
- Tell us at support@site.eu if you think someone else used your account.
Your mailboxes and your mail
- Only add mailboxes, calendars and address books you may use. SiteBirdy signs in to them with the password you give it, and only does what you or your settings ask.
- Your mail stays on your own mail server, with the provider you chose. That provider’s terms apply to it, and keeping copies of important mail is up to you and them: SiteBirdy is not a backup.
- What you set SiteBirdy to do happens on your mail server too, such as rules, emptying Trash after a while, or unsubscribing from newsletters you put in Junk. You can change or stop each of these.
- You are responsible for what you send with SiteBirdy, also when you schedule it or send it to many people one by one.
Using SiteBirdy fairly
Don’t use SiteBirdy to:
- send spam or other mail people didn’t ask for, or mail that breaks the law;
- harm others, deceive them (for example phishing) or infringe their rights;
- get into accounts, mailboxes or systems that aren’t yours, or test, overload or break SiteBirdy’s security;
- read SiteBirdy out automatically in other ways than the ones it offers (such as connected assistants and keys).
If you do, we may limit or suspend your account, where possible after warning you first.
AI assistants and keys
- You can connect an AI assistant (such as Claude or ChatGPT), or make a key for an app. You decide what each one may do and reach, and you can change or disconnect it at any time in Settings → Connected apps.
- What an assistant does with the permissions you gave it, such as writing drafts, moving mail or sending email, counts as done by you. Leave Send email off unless you want it to send without asking you first.
- The assistant’s provider and its own terms decide what happens to what it receives from SiteBirdy; we don’t control that.
- We may disconnect an assistant or a key that seems misused or unsafe, and tell you so.
The service
We do our best to keep SiteBirdy available, safe and up to date, and we improve it all the time: features can change or, now and then, go. We may stop SiteBirdy for a short time for maintenance, preferably when few people use it. SiteBirdy depends on your mail provider and the internet, which we don’t control.
For now SiteBirdy is free for everyone. Later there will be a free plan and a paid plan; we will announce the plans and their prices before they apply, and you only pay if you choose a paid plan.
Liability
Our liability is as limited as in article 11 of Site’s general terms and conditions, unless the law doesn’t allow that, for example when you use SiteBirdy as a consumer.
Ending
You can stop at any time: Delete my account is in Settings → Account. It deletes your SiteBirdy data at once (see the privacy policy for backups); your mail on your mail server stays where it is. We may end an account that breaks these terms, or one that hasn’t been used for a year, after telling you first.
Law and disputes
Dutch law applies to these terms. Disputes go to the competent court in the district where Site has its registered office, unless the law gives you as a consumer the right to go to the court where you live. Questions or complaints: support@site.eu.
